Wednesday 13th May 2020 19:30Bible Study on ZoomZoom Bible Study -this week we’ll be exploring Luke 3 & 4 together. If you’d like to join and you haven’t been part of the Wednesday group yet, please just drop Garry a quick message and he’ll include you on the invite. ....................................................................................................................................................................... You need to have Zoom installed on your computer/laptop/phone (ask for help if you don't know how to do this) and you need to let Garry know ( minister.desboroughbaptist@gmail.com ) if you want to be in the Bible study. Garry will send you a meeting ID (11 digit number - like a long phone number) and a password (6 digit number) just before the meeeting (e.g. at 19:28). Enter these into the Zoom panel - copy and paste is the easiest if you are happy with that. Please try to ensure you are reasonably well lit -(we are seeing far too many dark gloomy faces on our Zoom meetings) - the last thing we need at this time is avoidable unnecessary extra gloom!! Some people find the small individual "Windows" on Zoom, the small writing or the small icons used to control Zoom difficult to see clearly. Did you know that if you are on Windows10 on your computer or laptop, there is a built in magnifier. Hold the Windows key down (looks like a little distorted flag cut into 4, usually to the left of the "Space" bar on your keyboard) and at the same time hold down the + (=) key - and the magnfier appears. There is a + and - on the little control box that appears with the magnifier - click them to alter the amount of magnification (in steps of 100%) to whatever you want (I find 300% to be best). The magnifier drags around, with your cursor at the center of it - takes a little getting used to so I suggest you practise in advance (on any document you like - it's not just for Zoom) . Alternatively, go back to the control box for the magnifier, click on the down arrow next to "Views" and select "Docked". Now you can move and resize a magnfier "box" wherever you want to on the screen - I find it's best at the bottom left of the screen - and it stays put but will show a magnified version of wherever the cursor is. You can alter the size of the box showing the magnified view using "click and drag". Takes a bit of getting used to, but its easy once you have practised - so practise in advance if you think it might help with Zoom. To get out of the magnifier (close it down), press and hold the Windows key then press Escape (normally at top left of keyboard, labelled ESC) whilst doing so - or click the normal "close" symbol (x) at the top right of the magnifier control box.
